Saturday mornings usually involve for me a trip to Borough Market here in London. I go to a meeting at Southwark Cathedral to refill my spiritual bucket and then I wander round and see all the bright and happy colours of the fruits and veggies and smells from the street vendors in the market. I love the energy of the place and I always leave feeling recharged and ready for the new week. What things do you do each week that make you feel happy? Would love to hear in the comments below.
This weekend James was gone and so I went out and did a bit of a photo walk around Southbank Centre here in London. There was a 'Love Festival' on and they had converted a good portion next to the Thames into a beach complete with sand and lounge chairs. Southbank has a great vibe to it, there's booksellers, music, good food and some cultural hotspots like the Southbank Centre, National Theatre. It tends to be very busy with tourists because the London Eye is nearby as well as London Dungeon and within walking distance to/great views Big Ben. It reminds me quite a lot of Paris and walking next to the Seine and the Romanticism of it. I wandered round and had some street food before I then headed to Covent Garden to get my hair cut. Southbank is always changing that's for sure and I find it a bit of fun to pop by every now and then.
Anyway....Here are some pictures I took. I posted some pictures on my instagram which you can see here as well.
Take a moment out of your day to do absolutely nothing. Breathe deeply. Appreciate the little things. Be grateful for the simple joy of being alive.
